Last Saturday, our Quezon Trip didn’t end at Kamay ni Hesus Shrine. Because we couldn’t go to the Batis Aramin to swim due to the heavy rain pour, we asked the driver if he could just get us into Liliw Laguna to buy shoes and slippers.
I haven’t been to Liliw before. I heard a lot from the place but I never really imagined how heavenly it is. The whole street is filled with shops full of shoes. It’s just like our Vigan trip to Calle Crisologo, only instead of bagnet and Ilocano products, Liliw displays different variety of shoes to slippers.
I kind of noticed that they have a lot of espadrilles and wedges there. And since I am more of the “flats” girl, their products are an instant hit to me. But since it’s rainy nowadays, I had to get something more different and I feared that if the espadrilles get wet, it might tear down faster.
So here is my latest find, a floral wedge that’s so girly. Mom bought it for me since it’s my birthday on Sunday, so I didn’t budge. It’s super comfortable and I just can’t wait to use it (maybe on my birthday na rin). This one sells for only Php350. Not bad right? Oh, I wanna go there again. If only it isn’t a long drive going to the South.

I live in the South but haven't been there. I think it's quite far from us but your post makes me want to go and hoard! Nice choice of pair. It must have been so difficult to choose. =)

ReplyDelete@Eunice: If it hadn't been for our Quezon trip and the rain, I wouldnt be going to Liliw. :) But I guess the best thing to do when you go there is bring lots of extra money so you could buy a lot. And yes, its so difficult to choose since there are more than 10 shoe stores at the street alone :)

I've been planning to go to Liliw for the love of affordable yet lovely wedges and flats...I'll probably mark the month of November at tama ka dapat may bala ka pagpunta dyan to shop for more shoes & shoes & shoes...!!!

I am going Pinas April-May this year and included in my itinerary (going to Quezon Province) is passing Binan for slippers shopping; and then before flying back here going to Marikina for shoes this time.
ReplyDeleteWell, I remembered that I saw in Pinoy Cable a show about Liliw and I google and saw your site. Wow, the flowered shoes is almost exact design of a summer blouse, bag (with wallet and umbrella) that my husband bought for me to wear in my stay there. Wouldn't it be nice if I get to buy them? Will I then go to Liliw instead for these shoes? Its kindda out of my way to Bicol/Quezon. Umm, should I x-ed out Marikina and go to Liliw instead.

Hi! thanks for reading my post. Since youre going to Quezon, I think you could also pass by Liliw to buy shoes. But if your schedule's too tight, you could also buy nifty and affordable shoes in Marikina. Normally, it wouldnt have much difference :)
