So you want to be a rockstar? Here's How You Could Be One!

Ever dreamed of becoming a rockstar? With the use of the internet, you can easily be an online sensation—a rockstar in your own right, may it be when belting a powerful karaoke song at the mall, busting a move to some of the coolest hip hop songs or acting in front of the camera.

But being a top rockstar entails more than just having millions of likes and shares on social media. If you want to be the biggest star out there, work on these areas to earn your spot at the pantheon of legendary rockstars:

Discipline at the core of performing

Your favorite rockstars possess one thing in common: discipline. If you want to get your name out there, you must practice discipline on a daily basis. Start with small things such as going to rehearsals on time, eating healthy food, and exercising in the morning. Being disciplined can take you far in the entertainment industry.

A heart full of passion

Passion is what makes rockstars cool! Whether you like to sing, dance, or act, passion drives you to entertain people and make them happy, helping you stay committed to whatever you want to do and attain! And with a heart for your craft, you can definitely face any challenge and succeed!

Humility is a treasure

Real rockstars don’t let fame and fortune get to their head! You should keep yourself level-headed and treat others with humility. Take a cue from your favorite performers! They are respected, appreciated, not to mention, immensely followed on social media because they remain humble despite their popularity.

Be you!

Do not be afraid to show your personality! Being true to yourself is an important part of being a rockstar. Do what you love most and focus on improving it. You’ll never know, you might star in the next big commercial or even a movie just because of your unique personality!

Attitude beats aptitude

Possessing a positive attitude is more important than being so talented because it can greatly influence your behavior. If someone critiques your performance, take it positively and improve yourself. The road to fame is not easy, but if you have the right attitude, you can cope with almost anything!

Confidence is all that matters

If you want others to believe in you, you must believe in yourself first. Confidence is all that matters, kiddo! Build up your self-confidence and become more comfortable performing on stage by joining more competitions like the search for the next Cartoon Network Rockstar!

Cartoon Network Rockstar is an annual talent search that showcases the abilities of young Pinoy celebrity aspirants. Last year, Marcus Rayden Cabais was named as Cartoon Network’s first-ever Ultimate Pinoy Rockstar.

If you think you’ve got what it takes to be the next Cartoon Network’s ultimate rockstar, here’s what you need to take note of:

The competition is open to kids and teens aged 6-19 years old.

Participants should upload a 2-3 minute demo video of them singing, dancing, acting or doing a cool stunt.

Participants can send it to PickMe@CartoonNetworkAsia.com. The video must not exceed 20MB.
