Remember when I said I'm taking getting fit into the next level? Well I'm ecstatic when Ohms invited us to join the Subic FitFest Pocket Events here in Manila. Every weekend, there are exciting activities that we can join in, as passport to the big event. The first one I have been to, is the CoreHiiT Challenge or Pilates at the Options Studio located at the RCBC Plaza, Makati City.

The Sharks and Rays Encounter at the Manila Ocean Park
Almost everyone I know is afraid of sharks. Even if I wanted to be a mermaid when I was little, and there are vegetarian sharks in the movie Shark Tale, I never thought in a million years that I could be swimming with them. And that also includes sting rays, because in our household, there’s a myth that being whipped by their tails will make that your last day of existence. But with Manila Ocean Park’s newest attraction, the Sharks and Rays Encounter, you’ll feel like Ariel and get friendly with these (once) scary creatures!

Many people could not believe that strands of human hair can actually be a violin bow. We've seen the advertisements, and even the video. So now, it is just fitting that two of my blog readers actually experience hair that's beyond beautiful. :)

Spent hours before my birthday with an acoustic jam with Alfa, and I must say that it was one of the memorable night I've ever had. With her alluring voice and a multi-instrumentalist, Alfa goes back to her Pinoy roots to make her "kababayans" hear what she got. And can I just say that she's really amazing, inside and out.

Filipinos are ingenious when it comes to cooking. We have a wide variety of cuisines that have been passed on from different generations. Last September 5, SM Hypermarket launched the Master Chefs 2013 Barangay Cooking Challenge and it marked the beginning of the cooking competitions to be held in all 37 SM Hypermarkets nationwide. Because SM Hypermarket knows that not all great chefs are just in restaurants but also in different ‘barangays’, they can now showcase their talents, not just in cooking, but he/she must wow the crowd as well.

Saying YES to a healthier lifestyle
It’s September once again. Approaching the BER-months for me promises a lot of things – first, my birthday has already passed and I turned a year older, a few celebrations and there will be more feasts this upcoming Christmas season that I can already imagine. I always thought I could be young forever, going to my 8-5 work as a banker, then off to events as a blogger when I punch out the timecard. But I guess there’s always something to remind you that you’re turning older – the body complains and it reacts to everything you do.
Hello to a new lifestyle habit
Lately, I’ve been experiencing difficulty in breathing and going up using the stairs for just two floors makes me really tired. My boyfriend walks really fast and every time we go out, it feels like it’s so hard to keep up with his pace. So I thought this really has to stop, and I have to change it real fast.
Because Circulan Promises Good Health
I’m the type of person who always has a plan, so I researched about my condition, and came up with stress and not so good blood circulation. So aside from trying to work out even for an hour a day, I found out that CIRCULAN Soft Gel Capsule can help me further. With its 4 in 1 formula, I read that it promotes good blood circulation and has Hawthorne Berry for healthy heart, Ginkgo Biloba (this is really popular nowadays) to help the arteries, Garlic Oil for the blood and Lemon Balm extract to soothe your nerves. CIRCULAN is an effective food supplement and it has approved FDA benefits. Know more about this product at http://www.macropharmacorp.com/Web/Products/ProductDetails/Product-Catalogue/281_702_1367/
Another hectic event day at work with the officemates
Being a banker and a blogger at the same time means a lot of stress, not so normal sleeping patterns and you have less time for yourself. But then again I don’t have to worry because Circulan Promises Good Health. My lifestyle change starts now, so I hope yours will be successful as well.
I LIKED the Circulan Facebook Page at https://www.facebook.com/CIRCULAN and browsed through some really good health articles. Follow them too for good reads about blood circulation, exercise and living life in full circle.

ON THE JOB is an honest to goodness film.
I am never an action movie person. But seeing its trailer, powerhouse cast and directed by the award-winning director Erik Matti made me believe that there's more to the guns and violent scenes. And I was glad I went to see this movie without thinking twice.
This Sunday, show your gratitude to your lolo and lola by bringing them to the Araneta Center for a day of fun and bonding. This September 8, a special photo exhibit showcasing life's precious moments will be presented at the Making Memories exhibit. It will also include tips on how to strengthen brain power.

Presenting the newest YABU Branch at SM City North EDSA
Who doesn’t love Yabu? Almost everyone in my office rave about their katsu, the first time it opened in SM Megamall last year. My officemates and I loved their set katsu meals and a friend always orders their curry katsu. Months back, I have already been excited to see their “Opening Soon” poster at SM City North EDSA. And now it finally arrived in the North! Located at The Block, “Northerners” can now enjoy their yummy katsus anytime of the day.

Where do your taxes go? (Image from Rappler)
Being on vacation makes you read, watch and hear a lot of stuff. And by that, I mean the timely issues that the country is facing today. No, I wasn't able to join the Million People March last August 26, but I was with them in spirit, hating the fact that the tax money that was being slashed off my paycheck every month goes to the undeserving parties.
But what makes me feel cheated the most is how the government always says there are no special treatment to Janet Lim-Napoles. Of course, we Filipinos feel impatient that there is no sudden action after her surrender and news have been just reporting about her claustrophobia and the rise of her blood pressure. I cannot blame our people of being so disgusted about what is happening around us.
An official release from the government was uploaded about what will happen after abolishing the pork barrel and fair enough, this new system gives me a little bit of hope that the Philippines will finally get the right programs and reforms that it so much deserve.
I once saw a TV program where they interview students if they know Janet Lim-Napoles. It is disappointing that some of the future generation are not aware of what's happening around them. Maybe someday, when the government funding finally comes to place, our money could go somewhere useful so the children will be wise enough to fight corruption and be what our national heroes hoped for.
So for now, all I can wish is a more transparent government. No buts, no ifs. Yes, I think we can wait for due process when the process is clean and the information will be laid upon the people. And dear government, we will be all watching. I am expecting big things starting today.
