BINIBINIS ROCK THE BIG DOME WITH ANNUAL FASHION SHOW
Much anticipation is in the air, as 40 of the loveliest women from all over the country gear up for the Binibining Pilipinas 2014 Fashion Show at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on March 6, 7 PM.
All eyes are set on who will follow the fabulous footsteps of Shamcey’s Tsunami Walk, Janine’s Cobra Walk, Ariella’s Ariba Walk and Johanna’s Salagubang walk, and sashay their way into representing the Philippines in the world’s most prestigious beauty pageants.
It’s a fashion extravaganza like no other, with a display of elegance and grace from the 40 Binibining Pilipinas 2014 candidates donning cultural dresses in the National Costume competition. Then the girls will show off their fierce walk and strut down the Big Dome’s catwalk clad in sexy JAG jeans and accessories from the Binibini collection.
The Fashion Show is only one of the many exciting activities on the lead up to the Binibining Pilipinas Grand Coronation Night on March 30. The ladies will be launching their Swimsuit Photo Exhibit at the Gateway Cinema Lobby on March 15 and will be holding the much-awaited Parade of Beauties around the Araneta Center on March 22. The 40 candidates will also take part in various charitable missions and outreach programs under Binibining Pilipinas Charities Inc and its partners.
The Binibining Pilipinas 2014 fashion show opens its doors to the public, and pageant aficionados can fan girl over their favored bets and purchase tickets, priced Php 110 for Patron A, Php 90 for Patron B, and Php 60 for Box. Vice Ganda Is All Set for "i-Vice Ganda Mo 'Ko Sa Araneta" Concert
"Huwag na magpatumpik-tumpik pa! Boom Karakaraka!" - Vice Ganda's infectious song plays in my head in most days when I see the Bromance trailer or his GGV commercials. The Road of Ariella Arida to the Bb. Pilipinas 2013 Crown
Last night, the 50th Binibining Pilipinas was crowned at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. Fifty beautiful candidates competed for this prestigious title after various training sessions, outreach activities, TV guestings and the like. I am proud to be part of this historical event, as Ariella Arida, was chosen to be this year's representative to the Miss Universe Pageant.

Pumping my Kicks with the Foster the People Live in Manila

It was a fair Saturday afternoon and was hanging out with the boyfriend when I received a text from Az of http://azraelsmerryland.blogspot.com, if I would want to cover the Foster the People concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum that night. Too bad that I only know of one song, but I still said yes because concerts will always be my thing. Held last October 6, Foster the People Live in Manila was presented by Midas Promotions, Dayly Entertainment and Karpos Multimedia.
I arrived at the coliseum at 7PM and was seated at the Upper Box, though alone, I enjoyed my “me time” listening to their hits. Their first song was Miss You, and the crowd sang altogether with vocalist, Mark Foster. I loved how the band has so many fans and their glow sticks lighted the Smart Araneta Coliseum. The other members of the band are Mark Pontius for drums and Cubbie Fink playing the bass.

Their setlist includes Life On The Nickel, Houdini, Broken Jaw, I Would Do Anything For You, Waste, Love, Call It What You Want, Don’t Stop (Color On The Walls), Warrant and Helena Beat. When they left the stage, the people were asking for more, so they went back and sang Ruby and their most popular song (and the only one I know by heart), Pumped Up Kicks.

Most of the people around me are teenagers and students and they know the lyrics by heart. Good thing I didn’t feel out of place because the Araneta Coliseum is so cozy. Their extreme transformation in terms of their facility is wonderful especially for people who enjoy concerts like me. For someone as OC as me, I needed to feel comfortable when it comes to an event venue and they didn’t fail my expectations. I must say that I enjoyed watching the concert alone. And I am definitely crossing that out of my bucket list.
