4 Uses for CBD

The wonders of CBD (cannabidiol, for all you science geeks) never seem to cease. This all-natural, fully legal cannabis extract offers a little something for everybody.

For the depressed and anxiety-prone, it can help you relax. For those with upset stomachs, it can reduce nausea and increase appetite. For people suffering from arthritis and other forms of bodily pain, it can provide some much-needed relief.

Best of all, it’s super-versatile, with so many ways of using it that no one should feel left out. If you’ve only ever used CBD in oil form, consider trying something new with one of these next-level suggestions.

A little dab'll do ya

Capsules and tinctures not strong enough for you? Is under-the-tongue absorption taking too long? Maybe you need to give CBD dabs a shot. Don’t be intimidated by all the different varieties with their edgy, slangtastic names like “shatter” and “crumble” and “budder” (‘cause it’s creamy like butter but comes from “bud,” maaaaan). All dabs are basically the same.

A dab is a highly refined concentration of CBD extract condensed into one solid chunk, designed to be vaporized and inhaled. Not only is there no better way to get pure CBD into your system, there’s no faster way, either. The faster the better, I always say.

Relax with some snacks

CBD is known for, ahem, “stimulating the appetite” (*COUGH* giving you the munchies *COUGH*), so it only makes sense to satisfy both cravings at the same time. CBD edibles infuse soothing cannabidiol into everything from cookies, gummies, and ice cream to salad dressings, pasta sauces, and even your morning coffee.

If you’re more of a hands-on type, you don’t have to stick to just buying edibles. You can make your own. CBD oil makes it easy to cook up a savory meal, while CBD butter is a must-have ingredient when baking tasty treats. Just make sure to save some for me.

The cream of the crop

Get it? Because hemp is a crop and CBD creams are awesome? I’m sorry, I’ll stop. Seriously, though, CBD doesn’t just go inside your body, it works wonders on the surface, too. Topical creams, ointments, lotions, and transdermal patches are a perfect way of targeting localized aches and pains.

In addition to helping provide relief for sore muscles and grinding joints, CBD can also be used to treat burns and bug-bites, as well as such skin conditions as psoriasis, eczema, and acne. If that’s not enough, you can even get kinky with CBD-infused lube. No, I’m not joking.

Nothing like a hot bath

Showers are great when you’re on the go, but for my money nothing is more relaxing than a long, steamy soak in the tub. Bath bombs and aromatherapy have long been ways of making the ol’ rub-a-dub-dub an even more decadent experience. You know what else goes great with water and steam? C’mon, just guess.

Whether you wash up with some CBD-infused soap, melt a CBD bath bomb and breathe in its calming vapors, or just pour CBD oil right in the water, you’ll be in for a truly luxuriant night. Don’t be afraid to pamper yourself. Everyone deserves to indulge themselves now and then.
