Of Pink and Spring Look with Althea Makeup Box

There are so many times that I've wished for spring here in the Philippines. I loved seeing pink and whites, the cherry blossoms all around and the soft cool breeze is just perfect. But since I am still wishing for a Korean springtime, I re-created a spring-inspired look using the newest from Althea Korea, the Althea Exclusives Makeup collection.

BCLXAlthea Eye Palette Sunrise and Moonrise

Althea's very first eye palette is in collaboration with Bunga Citra Lestari (an Indonesian singer and actress). It has eight wearable shades that are very pigmented and easy to apply. The colors are easy to blend with each other and perfect for day or night wear. 

Althea Watercolor Cream Tint

Bring more excitement to your cheeks and lip with the Althea Watercolor Cream tints. These long wearing and hydrating lip tints come in four colors - Plum, Strawberry,  Peach and Marron. They are also very pigmented and even though it has a matte finish, it wouldn't leave your lips dry. 

Althea Flawless Creamy Concealer

Conceal, don't feel, don't let them know with the Althea Flawless Creamy Concealer! I tried the Mocha and it is perfect for my "morena" skin. This product promises to hide imperfection, while still looking natural. It also contains Aquaxyl to keep your skin smooth and moisturized. 

Althea Spotlight Eye Glitter 

Highlight your eyelids and liner with the Althea Spotlight Eye Glitter. It comes in two colors, pink and white. 

Althea Skin Relief Spot Film Gel

Cover up your zits and let the Skin Relief makes your skin look smooth and protected. This is best used before applying make up. 

Now, on with the make-up tutorial shall we? So I wanted to create a glam look that also looks perfect for spring - combinations of pink and whites. 

My first step is to cleanse and prime my face. I used the Althea Pore Purifying Serum Cleanser because it minimizes pores and gives out that matte finish. Then I used the Althea Bare Essentials Prime Water. 

 

Next step is putting on a nice foundation. I used the Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway - a sunscreen and a make-up base in one. See how my face looked matte after applying it? Yup, it is THAT effective. 

 

Elsa of Frozen said, conceal don't feel, don't let them know. But I wanna share you that I used the Althea Flawless Creamy Concealer in Honey, to hide the imperfections on my face, especially under my eyes and the T-zone.  

 

For the eye make up, I used the brown shade as a base, the Rose Gold shade on the crease and the Purple shade to make the colors pop some more. 

 

As a finishing touch, I used the Althea Spotlight Eye Glitter just above my eyeliner and the waterline to make the eyes look fuller.  

To make them all last longer on my face, I used the Althea Petal Velvet Powder to set my eye makeup and concealer. 

 

For a natural blush, I used the Althea Watercolor Cream Tint in Peach. This is the closest I can get to orange. Since I have a "morena" complexion, orange best suits my skin in having that natural glow. And it works every time. 

Lastly, for the lips, I used the Althea Watercolor Cream Tint in Strawberry. I just love how reddish it looks and how it makes my lips pucker up some more. I also just had to say that it is non-drying and moisturizing to the lips.
