When the pandemic broke out, businesses instinctively placed business plans on the shelf, cancelled their marketing campaigns or simply postponed introduction of new products. This is why the launch of Hello Glow, the “pandemic baby” of Ever Bilena Cosmetics Inc. (EBCI), during the lockdown is nothing short of phenomenal because it also helped rejuvenate the business hardest hit by the quarantine.
Launched last February, Hello Glow (www.facebook.com/helloglowofficial/) has sold 50,000 sets through its traditional direct selling and increased fivefold during quarantine, with most transactions done online. Following its success, the EBCI team relaunched in June, fully to online entrepreneurs, which resulted to 300,000 sets sold in only a month’s time. Denice Sy-Munez, EBCI chief sales and marketing officer, proudly shares, “We exceeded our initial 600,000 set target for the year in just 4 months, which the whole team feels is a big milestone for us!”
Hello Glow is a complete line of skin rejuvenation and whitening products expertly designed and formulated using only safe, high-grade nourishing and effective natural ingredients. It comes in four key items: the 4-in-1 whitening soap, clarifying toner, sunscreen cream, and whitening cream. But the bosses of EBCI made Hello Glow to be more than just about skin care: It became a gateway for more than 1,800 of its employees to generate income with the company providing Hello Glow reseller packages, free of charge, as a form of special aid during the pandemic lockdown.
Although they initially faced logistics setback given a skeletal workforce and limited mobilization during the quarantine, Hello Glow still managed to gain a following among skin care enthusiasts and entrepreneurs alike: “People were more conscious about using the lockdown period to improve their skincare regimen. Moreover, many are looking for sources of income. We have former flight attendants and beauty queens who are now active distributors of Hello Glow.”
To date, Hello Glow has over 2,500 resellers, but Denice confesses there is still a lot more saturation efforts that can be done to expand the network and strengthen the brand. As such, Hello Glow plans to add more products that address different skin concerns. “We want Hello Glow to be a one-stop shop for all personal care needs for our customers and reselling partners. Hello Glow fans have a lot of products to watch out for!”
As the whole world continues to deal with the pandemic, EBCI has managed to keep its head above water by continuously offering exciting products and reselling packages such as Hello Glow (All Whitening Set), especially during this time when self-care should be the top priority.

The children are the future of our generation. And nowadays, teens need all the help they can get so they can face the different challenges that this life brings. They need role models to guide them on physically, mentally and emotionally. And by this, #TeenWeekPH can help them in every step of the way.
Striding on its third year, #TeenWeekPH is back and bigger than ever! As part of Unilever’s Sustainable Living Plan, this program aims to power up future-ready teens by giving them the confidence to shape their future. And how do you do that? #TeenWeekPH helps teens to improve their personal care and hygiene habits. After two years, teens who joined the program started taking better care of themselves by using personal care products. And those who were already using products, started using the products more regularly, as part of their hygiene routine. This only shows that the program made a positive impact, and continues to inspire more teens.

Students’ intent on pursuing higher education increased by 18% after their participation in #TeenweekPH. Students also said that they now think they have clearer dreams and ambitions because #TeenweekPH made them believe in themselves. Lastly, after #TeenweekPH, 28% more teens now believe that they are ready for the future. A simple tweet from Raneal (username: @iamrein22143) best captures the kind of impact #TeenweekPH has had on teens: “@TeenweekPH, thanks for coming up with something that all the teens can relate to, I appreciate that you’re there for all the teens.”
Because of its contribution to the welfare of Filipino teens, the program has been recognized by national and international award winning bodies such as the Anvil Awards, Tambuli Awards and the Asian Marketing Effectiveness and Strategy Awards (AMES) in Singapore. It also continues to expand more areas in Visayas and Mindanao, having a total of 125 public and private schools to have been part of the program.

Tailored to teen-relevant themes per day, #MoveUpMonday tackles teen life and goal setting, with a poster making activity while #TransformTuesday teaches teens to care for their skin with Pond’s and Master. #WorkItWednesday encourages teens to build their talents and confidence, with challenges from Rexona. #ThinkBigThursday focuses on dreams and ambitions, with untangling limitless possibilities and nothing to hide workshops from Cream Silk and CLEAR. And on #FutureFriday, students will learn the importance of building lasting friendships and relationships in their teenage years.
Along with the daily edutainment modules, a series of videos that tackle different aspects of teen life, #TeenWeekPH also introduces the Teen Talks, speeches given by informed and successful young men and women on topics such as self-esteem, talent and confidence, dreams and ambitions. Dubbed the Teen Council, speakers include basketball player and entrepreneur Chris Tiu, multi-awarded Filipina volleyball player Alyssa Valdez, and actor and dancer Enrique Gil, among others.
The week-long workshops will culminate in #TeenWeekPH Fairs that will be held in key cities nationwide. Co-created by teens and for teens, the #TeenWeekPH Fairs are an opportunity for teens to showcase and test their confidence, as they experience a whole day of fun activities, booths and performances by special guests.
#TeenWeekPH ultimately aims to teach teens the importance of proper hygiene and personal development, so they gain the confidence they need to take charge of their own future.
