Philippine champions cross paths at Novotel Manila Araneta Center

QUEZON CITY, Philippines—National pride reached epic proportions as boxing champ Manny "PacMan"Pacquiao met Miss Universe 2015 Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach at the Novotel Manila Araneta Center. In what could be described as a moment of pure kismet, Pacquiao and Wurtzbach met at the Food Exchange Manila along with Binibining Pilipinas Charities Chairwoman Stella Marquez-Araneta, Novotel Manila Araneta Center General Manager Bernd Schneider and Uniprom International Officer-in-Charge Irene Jose. Pacquiao returns from his win over Timothy Bradley for the WBO International Welterweight title last weekend while Wurtzbach is scheduled to crown her successor to the Binibining Pilipinas – Universe title this coming Sunday at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

Manny Pacquiao Renews Commitment with Habitat for Humanity

New year signals new hope. And this 2015, People's Champ, Manny Pacquiao renewed his commitment to be an ambassador and spokesperson for Habitat for Humanity Philippines. He recently signed a Memorandum of Agreement last January 5, indicating his support for the "WeBuild Campaign", to kick off this year.

"Manny: The Movie" to Premiere at SXSW Film Festival in Texas

The South by Southwest Film Festival and Conference (SXSW) in Austin, Texas recently announced that it will host the premiere of the Hollywood-produced “MANNY: THE MOVIE.” The festival which runs from March 7 to 15 will mark the global debut of the highly anticipated documentary movie of the celebrated Filipino sports icon.

Manny Pacquiao wins Pacquiao-Mosley Fight

Held at MGM Grand Arena, May 7, 2011. (May 8, Manila Time)

Charice Pempengco sang the Philippine National Anthem.

At the 11th round, Manny Pacquiao leads his score at 107, while Sugar Shane Mosley at 100. During its 3rd round, everyone thought that it was an easy fight when Mosley was knocked down.

A huge success for the Filipino pride. Manny Pacquiao did it again with unanimous decision, defending his welterweight champion title of the world. Congratulations for beating his own and a new record for his division :D
