Beastly, starring Alex Pettyfer and Vanessa Hudgens, premieres at SM Cinema Megamall last April 19, 2011. Viva International Pictures, in cooperation with SM Cinema, Easy Rock and Love Radio held a red carpet advance screening at Cinema 2, with simultaneous screenings at SM Cebu Cinema 1 and SM Baguio Cinema 2.

The story was about a handsome high school senior, Kyle, (Pettyfer) who is full of himself and throws crazy pranks on his weak classmates. But when he purposely targets the high school witch, Kendra (Mary Kate Olsen), she decided to transform Kyle to be unattractive on the outside as he is on the inside. Now the "Beast" has one year to make someone fall in love with him and say the words "I LOVE YOU" to break the spell or else, he will never get his true form back again.

Now getting hopeless, he saw his former classmate, Lindy (Hudgens) whom he never dared ask out before. With her simplicity, Kyle decided to keep an eye out for her until the perfect opportunity came. He must protect her from a drug-fazed world that her father was involved in. When he took her home with his blind teacher Will (Neil Patrick Harris) and his nanny Zola (Lisa Gay Hamilton), he thought there was a huge chance for her to fall in love with him despite appearances.

Beastly's storylines are just like the animated movie Beauty and the Beast, minus Gaston plus an evil witch. I was so captivated by Mary Kate Olsen's character as a witch because she looks terrible in one scene but then look like a goddess on the other. And five stars for the graphics and the setting. I loved the flower gazebo and their high school campus because they're so inviting to look at.
