FILA and Athletes in Action Run for School Rooms

Every child has the right to proper education. However, there are different factors why some kids cannot go to school - most of them is due to lack of funding and poverty. That is why FILA and Athletes in Action (AIA) join forces to build the children's future by creating the BIGGEST ADVOCACY RUN, to help raise funds for the classroom rehabilitation in Iligan City. As they were the badly hit by Typhoon Sendong last year, FILA and AIA aims to build classrooms for the Pinoys of tomorrow.

Last June 20, a media and blogger's night was held to further promote the  Schools Run for School Rooms (SRSR) marathon to be held at the Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, this JULY 7, 2012. It was hosted by one of its endorsers, Tim Yap and graced by Ms. Cris Albert of FILA. As of this time, 15,000 runners have already signed up and more are invited to bring a glimmer of hope to Iligan City students for them to have working classrooms and equipment.

The Schools Run for School Rooms is not just the pioneer project of FILA President Butch Albert, but he also advocated the Project "500 for 500" during the recently concluded 2012 FILA Polo Cup. As a Corporate Social Responsibility oriented company, proceeds during the sale of their product, Skele-Toes are given to 500 less fortunate families who were also hit by the typhoon Sendong.
