I ♥ Mang Inasal - August 1, 2011 - The country's Proudly Pinoy Chicken Inasal Launches its newest endeavors into tapping OPM Music and support 8 Breakthrough Pinoy Artists. With its fun-filled night full of games, food and music, the T.E.A.T.R.I.N.O at Promenade, Greenhills was well attended by bloggers and media people.

Mang Inasal's reason to celebrate is their 400th store that will be opening at V-Mall Carpark in Greenhills. Their newest promo, the Grand Gadget Giveaway, lets their valued customers to win Two (2) ASUS Eee Pad Transformers EVERYDAY. Now isn't that more reason to hang out at Mang Inasal more often?

But what they are most proud to introduce are the Eight Breakthrough OPM Artists who will represent Mang Inasal and vice versa. Their music will be played at all Mang Inasal branches while continuing to uphold music that is proudly Pinoy.

Mang Inasal Marketing Manager Enri Luzuriaga said, “Mang Inasal loves Filipino culture and music, especially our very own OPM. We believe that helping promote our own brand of music and artists is a part of our responsibility as a corporate citizen” Truly, the Mang Inasal Mang Aawit Music Advocacy Program will not only help these artists to make a mark in our music industry but to the Philippine values as well.

“The Mang Inasal Mang Aawit music advocacy program comes at a time when OPM needs it the most. It is one big step to reviving our local music industry that was what was once the most influential in Asia,” adds Mang Aawit Project Director Chris Cahilig.

The first group to own the stage was boyband 1:43. At first, I thought they were Korean, but when they sang “Para Kang”, everyone was swooned by their refreshing sound and their oozing factor to the audience. They rendered "Pag-ibig na Kaya" after they introduced theirselves on stage.

After the boys, acoustic gem Stephanie Dan strut her rendition of "Fireworks" by Katy Perry. I have heard this once on the radio but I didn't know that it was actually her. She was very amiable and her voice is refreshing to anyone who hears her. She also sang "Price Tag" by Jesse J.

Aries Sales hails from Davao City and sings acoustic as well. I just noticed that great singers come from that side of the country, with MYMP's (Juris and Juliet) then and now singers as examples. He rendered his own composition, “Ms. Masungit” and everyone just feels so relaxed with his singing.

Now, I don't listen to AM stations, but when DZMM Teleradyo host Onse came to stage, the audience went very cheerful and almost rowdy. Being a comedian and proudly gay, he first sang "May Bukas Pa" to show his vocal prowess. He then sang his novelty song "AEIOU" and asked us to dance with him. It was fun, considering how gloomy the weather was outside, with the storm and all.

When Pinoy Dream Academy scholar Sheng Belmonte walked on stage, I know guys oogled their eyes to her amazing body. With morena features like Pussycat Dolls' Nicole Scherzinger, she sang her latest single, "Gigil", while dancing her booty. She also sang "Filipina", which uplifts Pinays all over the country.

RnB Swooner Myrus sang his version of "Sayang". I was taken aback because I never thought that a guy could actually pull off a song rendered by a female. He also rendered “Patuloy ang Pangarap” and I was inspired by his influence to the audience.

Wrapping up the night, is my favorite OPM band today, Kiss Jane. They capped the program with their chart topping hits "Baliw" and "Lagi". I love Kiss Jane, and I am just floored that I got to watch their performance live.

Arnee Hidalgo is also one of the OPM artists who will represent Mang Inasal but she was not able to come during the event. I was actually expecting her since she has a version of my old time favorite song, "You Got It All".

So what are you waiting for? Drop by your nearest Mang Inasal and listen to great OPM music, get the chance to bring home a great gadget and enjoy their sumptuous food, that is truly Pinoy, Proud and Palatable!
