Last April 2, the beautiful candidates of Ms. Philippines Earth 2014 showcased a "beauty for a cause" at SM Supermarket Megamall and the Mega A Event Center. Their "green" advocacies promised that they are beyond beauty and brains. And that's how exactly how they stand out from the pageant world.
Beauties for a cause Join the M.O.B.
To spread environmental awareness, Miss Philippines Earth 2014 partnered with SM Supermarket, SM Hypermarket, and Savemore Market. As a pre-pageant event, the candidates helped encourage shoppers to support SM's campaign, "Join the M.O.B." (My Own Bag). The SM Greenbag is the first reusable bag in the country and the Miss Philippines Earth 2014 even put up their own contest, on how many shoppers can they encourage to buy the bag. This partnership by SM Food Retail Group and Miss Earth just shows how we can recycle and not use plastic with our purchases. Miss Quezon City won in this challenge.
Also, the candidates marched with the cute SM Customer Assistant Bulilits. Aren't they adorable?
