Dulcolax Helps You Do The Big Move

What is hassle? For me, it’s not being able to move freely. It’s like you’ve been carrying this weight on your body. Just last week, I’ve been invited to the Dulcolax event and learned more about constipation. Yup, you heard that right. There’s no need to hide these issues anymore because they might even help you do THE BIG MOVE.

Why THE BIG MOVE? We all know that constipation is not an issue to be talked freely about. But you know what’s funny? In work, when someone is not on her perfect mood, we would always ask “Constipated ka ba girl? Parang may dinadala kang sama ng loob eh”. So what if say, example, she is a “silent sufferer”, how would you manage to not be accused of being constipated?

Over the years, Vaseline expanded to offering moisturizing lip therapy and innovative range of lotions. Since then, Vaseline became the trusted skincare expert with an extensive base of loyal customers.

This year, Vaseline continues to innovate their skin products by coming up with their newest lotion that ensures world class quality and instant customer satisfaction- the Vaseline Instant Fair Lotion.

Have Fun Adventures This Summer with Sunsilk Hairkada

When I was in High School, I was enrolled in an all-girl school. Yes, there may be too much hormones around, but I loved the fact that I always get to hang out with my friends, sharing adventures, going to different school clubs (Glee Club for me), and bond with one another on a fine day. We were fun and outgoing, and it stood the test of time because even if were older now, we still go out and have fun adventures together. I guess it's important that nothing should hold you back on the things you do -- especially your hair.

Last March 6, we were invited to attend the Sunsilk Hairkada Adventure at the Greenfield District Park. The whole afternoon was a fun day of all sorts. This day also introduced us the newest barkada in town - #Sunsilk Hairkada comprised of pop princess Sarah Geronimo, the chic and sassy Jasmine Curtis-Smith, and primetime princess Julia Montes

Scribe Writing Essentials: Of love letters and writings

I took up Journalism in College because writing is my passion. When I was younger, I have a suitor who would write me love letters and give me cards on special occasions. Because of him, I was inspired to put my feelings into words. You won't believe the number of diaries I've had over the years - that's why I pursued Journalism.  At the opening of the Shangrila-East Wing, I found one of the niftiest stores around. I learned that like me, the store owner also loved collecting stationeries and cute stuff. And that is how I loved Scribe Writing Essentials  and how I keep coming back to their store for their products.

GrabTaxi Your Way To A Safe Ride

I have a thing about riding taxis. Let's just say that I stay away from cabs because of the news that's been spreading around, making the passengers unsafe. But now, all that has changed since I downloaded this really cool mobile booking app, GrabTaxi. Thanks to the genius behind it, you can easily book, sit back and relax at the comforts of your taxi ride.

My First Cock Experience

It’s been a while since I last saw a play. Last February 28, I had the chance to see the gala night of Cock, through FILA at Whitespace in Makati. It was nothing I’ve expected. Or maybe I was used to the idea that plays have musicals or visual effects of some sort. It was different, and I loved it!

Of Gays Guys and Girls

You know those stories in documentaries where a gay man falls in love with a woman? Those are sob stories, Cock is different from them. It’s a story of John, W (Woman), M (Man) and F (Father). How the other characters are nameless makes it all interesting. And the way the stage looks like a cockpit makes all the difference.

John confesses to M that he fell in love with W. He tells him that she’s manly and now M wants to meet the person who stole John away from him. When they were about to face one another, M’s father, F, came to rescue of his son, and hoped he’d make all the right reasons for John to pick who he had first. It’s funny, somewhat insane and you know that this is an “ultimate bitch fight”.

Cock is Red Turnip Theater’s version by Mike Bartlett. It premiered in London last 2009 and Broadway last 2010 and became an instant sold-out. This is top billed by Topper Fabregas, Jenny Jamora, Niccolo Manahan and Audie Gemora. With the direction of Rem Zamora, Cock is new and fresh, with intelligent banter and will make you fall in love…with a gay guy who needs two hearts.

This comedy is a must watch for the romantics. The dialogues of John to M and W made him a confused lovefool. Topper Fabregas blew me away with his awesome performance and how he acts out his emotions. Jenny Jamora as W is feisty. She wants her gay and she’ll never give up. Her character portrays most women today. You know, how we would always grab even that little spark of hope. On the other hand, I love how Niccolo Manahan’s “M”, overpowers John, every single time. He always know the right words to describe John and he would put up a good fight, in a heartbeat. As expected, the brilliant Audie Gemora created havoc among the characters. His presence made everything more funny and confusing for the three. Overall, I enjoyed my first Cock experience. I laughed, cried, and even did both at the same time. I was able to relate to John and how he’s such a romantic. I felt like I was W, when she was pleading John to choose her, because maybe at one time, I was like her. All thumbs up to the brilliance of Rem Zamora, for I know he was able to capture the realness of the story.

Cock will be staged at Whitespace — 2314 Chino Roces Ave. Extension (formerly Pasong Tamo Extension), Makati — on March 7, 14, 21, 28 and April 4 (Friday, 9 p.m.); March 8, 15, 29 and April 5 (Saturday, 8 p.m.); April 5, Saturday at 4 p.m.; March 9, 16, 23 and April 6 (Sunday, 4 p.m.) and special closing gala on April 6, Sunday, 8 p.m.

You may get your tickets through TicketWorld (891-9999 or or Red Turnip Theater ( or

Philamlife Introduces Health Invest

Philam Life, the country’s premier life insurer, launched Health Invest, a unit-linked health and life insurance plan which provides financial protection from health-related setbacks. In photo are (from left): Medical specialists Avenilo L. Aventura Jr. and Emily Tan Aventura, Philam Life SVP-head of marketing Jessica Abaya, and Philam Life AVP-head of product marketing for Protection and Health Rozanne Magararu.

For someone who worked for an HMO in the Philippines, I have known that some conditions are not covered in one’s medical plan. You’d know this because we always received complaints that their availment was denied or something like that. Last February 26, Philamlife unveiled its latest addition to its portfolio of unit-linked products – the Health Invest.

Health Invest is a unit-linked health and life insurance plan which provides financial protection from health-related setbacks. It provides life insurance coverage, plus it lets you build a fund for your future health care needs. Ms. Rozanne Magararu, Protection and Health Product Marketing Head at Philam Life, noted that Health Invest “prepares Filipinos for the unexpected realities of getting sick and the inevitable realities of growing old.”

Did you know that 11 Filipinos are diagnosed with cancer every hour and the cost of treatment is at least Php700,000? If you’re a young professional or a simple employee, how would you address that big of a money for treatment?

“Health Invest is ideal for mature couples with young dependents or breadwinners who fully understand the value of planning ahead for critical illness, accidents or loss of life,” she said. “It can work as a supplement to health maintenance organization (HMO) cards and Philhealth coverage through its more comprehensive benefits.”

I think that Health Invest is an ingenious product because it fused both insurance and investment benefits in one plan. Plus, it helps us have that saved up money in case of a health condition.

The Health Invest fund will be expertly managed by Philam Life’s affiliate company Philam Asset Management, Inc. It accumulates over time depending upon the performance of the chosen investment fund. The fund may be used to pay for medical and health needs incurred beyond the policyholder’s working years or in excess of HMO coverage. Policyholders also have the option of topping up premium payments to boost the growth of the fund.

In sickness and in health

According to Magararu, many Filipinos may be misled by the notion that getting health insurance is “redundant” because of existing HMO and Philhealth coverage. “Such coverage is normally tied to our years as employees. What happens to the expenses that are not covered? What happens after we retire? In real life, medical expenses from getting sick and growing old are often funded out of one’s pocket. On the other hand, Health Invest begins where your HMO coverage ends,” she added.

Health Invest works this way: you can get a lump sum cash benefit upon diagnosis of a critical illness or in the event of an accident, you can get hep in financing your recovery and pay for your medical bills. That way, you'll be ready and you'd stop worrying about the future. The good thing about this plan is the sum will not be deducted from the health fund or the life insurance coverage, and payment for future premiums will be waived until the plan reaches fruition. Aside from that, you can choose from their flexible terms - may it be three, five, seven or ten years, depending on your/policyholder's age and chosen coverage.

Investment and protection

“Health is an oft-overlooked issue for Filipinos, and yet it’s a pressing concern that affects everyone. Health issues are real life problems that are best dealt with early on,” Jessica Abaya, Philam Life Head of Marketing, said.

In the recent Healthy Living Index (HLI) survey, results revealed that, while 98 percent of Filipinos acknowledge that healthy living is important, Filipinos are not as proactive as they should be when it comes to exercising, getting enough sleep, and eating healthier.

HLI aims to “understand how people feel about their health, concerns, and hopes for a healthier way of life.” It was conducted by AIA, the largest independently-publicly listed pan-Asian life insurance group of which Philam Life is part of, in 15 AIA markets in Asia including the Philippines.

Abaya added, “Health Invest is a response to the unique health needs of Filipinos. With this, we hope to empower more Filipinos to prepare themselves and their families in the midst of life’s health realities.”

Say That Things Change E-book

Do you love reading romantic stories?  New Adult Quick Reads launched the e-book Say That Things Change on Google Play. Featuring stories from writers Jhing Bautista, Jonnalyn Cabigting, Katherine Eustaquio-Derla, Leng De Chavez, Rachelle Belano, Rayne Mariano and Mina V. Esguerra, these quick reads are  for the New Adult  generation.

Say That Things Change features the following stories: Six Degrees of Separation, Prince Charmee, Before I Do, Everything is in Line, Almost but not Quite, Sharm's Side and the Muse Apollo 1.

My most favorite was definitely Before I Do because it is a hilarious story about the girl who wants the wedding, but not yet the marriage. I think most girls get all worked up on the idea of weddings and plannings , but they diss the idea of what happens after the wedding. So, being in my late twenties, I can relate. :)

Say That Things Change is available in New Adult Quick Reads via Google Play for only Php43.75 (limited time offer only). You can download it by clicking this link:

Love is in the Air with Zoocobia!

Love, love, love. I just can't get enough of this four letter word. After all, it makes the world go round. I'm just so fortunate that I got to spend the most romantic month at Zoocobia, Clark Pampanga with "Love is in the Air" last February 15 and got bitten by the love bug.

It definitely is all about love as we visited the lovebirds first. Years back, I have been to Zoocobia and enjoyed learning about the animals and the different activities that you could do there. For a close encounter, you just have to buy bird seeds and you can feed the lovebirds and even the ostriches.

Zoocobia is a fun zoo theme park that offers a variety of interesting and enjoyable activities and attractions including the first gravity car ride in the Philippines called the Zooc Ride. It is suitable for all ages and will surely give you a thrilling experience. I just can't get enough of this ride! And of course, I chose the pink car because it's love, baby! :)

The other attractions that you could enjoy at Zoocobia are the Maze, Zoocology Museum, The Barn, Giant Slides and Birds of Paradise, a close encounter with different colorful birds nestled on tree branches. Best to bring your children here because they have lots of adventure in store.

During the night, we were present at the Love is in the Air program. They have showcased their different Mr. and Ms. Animals, paraded different types of Horses because of the new Chinese year, showed the biggest python in the country, Night Owl Show, Fancy Pigeon Display and had performances by our Aeta brothers, Group of Pampanga. It was a fun-filled and educational event at the same time.

To cap off the night, Zoocobia held the much awaited Night Lantern Festival. I had my wish lantern set up to the sky for a happy ever after with the boyfriend. These night lanterns are all lighted up together to signify that love conquers all, even the sky.

Truly now it’s more than words to show how you feel. Give them the best experience this season of love and let the romantic feeling linger. For inquiries you may visit their website or contact them at 899-9828 or 899-9808 for you to find love in an unexpected place.
