Dairy Queen and Araneta Center Holds Dress Me Up 2: Black Forest Style

Last month, Araneta Center, together with participating brands from Gateway Mall made us bloggers become stylists for a day. It was an exciting event that featured the Bb. Pilipinas winners and that was an opportunity I never thought I was able to pull. This November, ACI and Dairy Queen teamed up to create a Black Forest inspired fashion event – which featured the Dairy Queen’s Black Forest collection.  Fashion and DQ’s Blizzard created the perfect classic blend this holiday season.

Before I tell you about the event, let me introduce you to Dairy Queen's newest offerings:

The Black Forest Blizzard is made from Dairy Queen’s classic soft-serve vanilla ice cream blended with maraschino cherry, cherry syrup, chocolate chunks, and even made more delectable with brownies and cocoa fudge. You can also order in Mint flavor and they are available in three sizes: 9oz (P89), 12oz (P109) and 16oz (p129).

Aside from the Black Forest Blizzard, Dairy Queen also offers its Black Forest MooLatte, a soft-serve vanilla ice cream blended to perfection with coffee base, maraschino cherries, cherry syrup, and cocoa fudge that will make you feel the Holiday cheer even more. Available in 6oz (P59) and 12oz (P109). I've tried this one weeks ago and you can taste cherry bits in every sip. I just love this drink too much! :)

Thinking of a perfect dessert this Christmas? For only P799, you and the whole family can share the Black Forest Blizzard Cake that's made of rich vanilla ice cream blended with maraschino cherry, cherry syrup, chocolate chunks, brownie and cocoa fudge.

To make it more festive, the special DQ Christmas Dilly Bar shaped like a Christmas Tree is available for only P39.

Going back to the event, Krystle and I paired up and styled Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2012 Janine Tugonon. It was a privilege for us since she will be set off for the world record title this December and she's very nice to work with. So after pulling out clothes and accessories from Bayo, Promod, Parfois, Girbaud, Sebago, and Marks & Spencers, this is Janine's outfit shot for the event. And the photo that can be seen at the Gateway Mall's Gallery for their Holiday Sale this November 23 to December 2.

After her photoshoot, all the Bb. Pilipinas Winners and male models staged a fashion show to cap off the day.  Our theme: Black Forest style. We had to mix and match the colors red, black and white - the colors of the Black Forest Blizzard. It was also my first time to walk at the ramp, so I was pretty much psyched to walk with Janine. 

After judging, Ace and Sai won 3rd Place, Rovie and Arnie snagged the 2nd place and Aisa and Ana were announced as the Grand Winners. As for us, we enjoyed our Dairy Queen's consolation prize - enough to treat my officemates and family. :)
