Time for Kung Fu Fighting: Kung Fu Panda 2

Po (Jack Black) and the Furious Five - Tigress (Angelina Jolie), Crane (David Cross), Mantis (Seth Rogen), Viper (Lucy Liu) and Monkey (Jackie Chan) are back! As he is now the DRAGON Warrior, Po continues to protect the Valley of Peace practicing his Kung Fu training as taught by Shifu (Dustin Hoffman).

On the other side of China, a villain named Shen (Gary Oldman) formed a powerful weapon that enabled him to conquer China and cease Kung Fu to existence. With Po and the Furious Five's martial arts prowess, it will be an interesting fight. But what happens if Po continues to relive his past and his hurtful beginnings? Will he be able to stop Shen and continue Kung Fu and gain inner peace or will the weapon destroy China and its origin? Kung Fu Panda 2 is directed by Jennifer Yuh and now shows in cinemas nationwide.

The cute and cuddly panda continues to show his awesomeness to the big screen. This second installment brought me into different level of emotions. Laughter- when Po shows his crazy antics, Suspense- during the fight scenes and how Po overcomes the wrath of Shen's weapon and Tears- when Po learned about his past and how he enfolds to the present. Seriously, I cried buckets during Po and Mr. Ping's scenes. Its that father-child thing that always get me.

And there will definitely be a Kung Fu Panda 3 in the future. A promising giveaway in the ending will interest you about Po's future. But for now, Kung Fu Panda 2 is definitely one of the best animated movies in 2011. Something kids and not so young ones will all enjoy.
